Robert (uncle Bob) married three times. The first time as a young man aged 18 living in Lewes to Ruth Watkins had three children Robert, Ellen and Fanny. I believe Ellen is still living and is in London, the other two are dead. Robert married and kept two daughters, your father will remember meeting their a few times at a dance in Hastings when we were all young. After our Ruth died, uncle Bob came to Hastings to live and He and Father started a carriage business letting waggonettes & hackney carriages out to hire. Soon after he married again to Clara, but I do not know her surname, they were not married very long before she contracted TB and died rather suddenly, left no children. Then uncle went to lodge at the house of one of the Coachmen that drove one of the cabs when he met Kate Jardine who was his third wife, they had two children, Will, who is living at Hastings now and whom I go to see occasionally, and Cassy who is dead.
