PRAHRAN SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
An overflowing audience, despite the inclemency of the weather, assembled at the Empire Hall on Monday evening last, when the month'y social of the above Society was held. The proceedings commenced with the entrance of the President (Mr A. G. Pinkerton) preceded by the Society's Pipe Band, under the leadership of Band-Capt. P. White. The Band has made good progress of late, and its opening selection, "92nd High'anders," was rendered in a high'y skilful manner. The programme of songs, duets and dancing was well sustained by the following artists and gave great satisfaction to all present-Mr and Mrs W. Neilson, in songs and duets, were thoroughly appreciated, and had to respond to several encores. Miss Ida Fow'er (a local singer) rendered her items io perfect style, which needless to say, were enjoyed by everybody. The comic element was provided by Mr George Harvey, who had the audience in roars of laughter from start to finish, and was repeatedly recalled. The dancing was supplied by Misses Winnie Horn and Rita Imrie, twa wee dots (pupils of Mr James Williamson), who danced gracefully and well, while Pipe Major A. V. Comrie and Piper J. Irving furnished the necessary music in their usual accomplished style. Miss Evelyn Goold was as usual a most efficient accompanist, while Mr J. Stewart acted in a similar capacity for the dancers. At the conclusion of the concert President Pinkerton thanked one and all for their kind attendance, and wished to see them all again at their next concert. Dancing was then indulged in till 11 o'clock, and the singing of Auld Lang Syne announced the close of another very enjoyable evening. Mr Jno. Stewart, musical director, is again to be congratulated on the success of the concert. The care and attention with which he arranges the programmes, which are always so enjoyable, stamps him as an officer who thoroughly understands the important duties he has in hand. The President (Mr Pinkerton) entertained a number of visitors in his hospitable manner. Mr Willmott, secretary, also carried out his duties well.

Richmond Juvenile Frolic Party.
The above clever juvenile party, gave an entertainment in the A.N.A. Hall High-street, Prahran, on Monday evening, when there was a good attendance, and the audience was very appreciative of the programme presented. The items were of a varied description, and the youthful performers acquitted themselves very well indeed. There was some excellent singing, dancing and choruses. As to the individual artists, the general verdict of the audience was "all tip-top." Some of the younger members of the company showed that they will make a name for themselves in vaudeville. As programmed, the company includes tile following artists:-Misses V. Stevens, Rita Imrie, Winnie Horne, Chrissie Imrie, Maggie Imrie, Olive Barnard, Dorrie Hawkins, Dulcie Horne, Elsie Hawkins, Baby Field, Horne Sisters; Masters Oswald Hord, Baden Nancarrow, Frank O'Dowd, Jack O'Dowd. The conductor is Miss Sadie Horne, stage manager, Mr. L. Driscoll; Mr. T. King, hon. secretary, and Mr. F. O'Dowd, hon. treasurer. The company to its credit, is not out wholly and solely to fill its own coffers, but is always most anxious to assist deserving charities in the suburban areas Any applications to assist a charitable cause should be forwarded to Miss Sadie Horne, of 38 Corsair street, Richmond, or Mr. F. O'Dowd, of Chapel street, South Yarra.
