The 52nd anniversary of the Congregational Sunday school was celebrated last week in the presence of a very large gathering which assembled in the Congregational Hall, the Rev. F. D. In the annual report regret was expressed at the departure from the town of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Wainwright and Miss Mabel Shaddock, who had been valued workers in the Sunday school. The demise of Miss Emily Nettleton was also feelingly referred to. The distribution of prizes was an important item at the proceedings. The following were the recipients of prizes:--Girls. 1st class (teacher Mr J. Robinson): Beryl Phillips, Eva Anderson, Hilda Hartley, Ruby Brittain, Hilda Hartley, Ada Sommerville. 2nd class (teachers. Miss Nettleton and Mrs. Henry): Florrie Edwards, Ivy Wines, Olive Wood. 3rd class (teachers, Mrs. Henry and Miss Ellis). Marjorie Thomas, Agnes Brebner, Cissy Healy, Irene Rock. 4th class (teacher Miss Clytie King): Eva Shaw; Ethel Hartley, Mabel Hemmingway, Lylia Anderson, Jean Anderson. 5th class (teacher, Mr. Hemingway): Ivy Patton. Infants' class (teacher Miss Eva Nettleton): Laura Raynor Boys. 1st class (teacher. Rev.F.D . Trainor): Roy Wines, James Seabrook, Rex Phillips, Arthur Hartley. 2nd class (teacher. Miss Lizzie Robinson), Jack Shaw Cyril Wines, Harold Anderson, Ewart Phillips, Frank Anderson. 3rd class (teacher Mr E. Hartley): Charlie Dodds, Francis Wines, Alex. Wiikin, Willie Brebner, Cuthbert Edwards, S. McConnell, Joan Anderson and Willie Rock. Infants class (teacher, Miss Eva Nettleton): Jack Raynor, Alex. Brebner, Jack Hammond and Leslie Dodds.
